CareerOS helps you plan your career — and we take your privacy seriously. Here's a plain-language summary of what we collect, why, and what you control.
What we collect
Your name, email, and university (to create your account)
Career data you add: saved companies, contacts, jobs, events, and notes
Resume data if you use ResumeOS (our AI resume tool)
Basic usage data (pages visited, features used) to improve the platform
What to avoid sharing
Please do not include sensitive personal data in your profile, resume, or notes (such as health information, political views, religious beliefs, or similar personal details).
CareerOS is designed for professional career planning and does not require this type of information.
If you are unsure whether something is appropriate to include, please leave it out.

We never sell your data
We never share your personal messages or private notes with anyone — including your career advisor
We don't track you across other websites
What your career advisor can see
Your saved companies, contacts, and job applications (so they can support you)
They cannot see your private notes or messages

Hosted on Google Cloud Platform in the EU
Encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256)
Backed up daily
AI features
If you use AI-powered tools (resume review, career suggestions), your data is processed by Google Gemini
AI processing is transient — your data is not stored by the AI model after the request completes
Your rights (under GDPR)
Access, correct, or delete your data at any time
Export your data in a portable format
Object to any processing based on legitimate interest
Account deletion: available in Profile settings (14-day grace period, then permanently removed)
